We’ve tried to make the respawn rules as simple as possible. They are based on the respawn rules at Harris Farm Airsoft Field.
DO NOT CAMP THE OTHER TEAM’S SPAWN POINT.
The Self Respawn
When you are hit (or even think you’re hit):
- Yell out “HIT! HIT! HIT!” YELL IT. Wave your arm.
- Pull out your deadrag and wave it around.
- Place the deadrag on your head. Do not remove it until you’ve reached your spawn point or you’ve been spawned back in.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that the person who shot you hears and sees you call hit. If you don’t yell “HIT! HIT! HIT!” and wave your arm and deadrag, and you are overshot, really, that’s on you.
- When a player is hit, they must immediately drop any game prop(s) they may be carrying.
- If anything the player is wearing or holding (backpack, game prop, gun, etc.) is hit, the player is hit.
When in doubt, CALL YOUR HIT. It’s a game. Big deal. Getting hit is cool.
There may be specific respawn rules for ops, depending on the scenario. “Deathmatch” ops, for example don’t allow any respawns. Some MilSim (Military Simulation) ops allow a player to be hit 2 or 3 times before they have to respawn.
Unless the game briefing specifically includes medic or buddy respawn, they are NOT ALLOWED in the game. Pay attention to the briefing.
Remember that dead people tell no tales! Once you’re hit, you’re not allowed to say anything to anyone outside of “I’m dead”.
