OP: Damage Control II
Please note the updated date and times. This will be a 24-hour Mini-sim starting on SATURDAY 9/24 and running for 24 hours straight.
Last year’s OP: DAMAGE CONTROL was an absolute success and we raised $800 for Maine Veterans Project, mostly thanks to the KWA QRF Mod.1 raffle.
This year, our goal is to TRIPLE this amount. That’s right, $2,400.
Every field fee, half the rental fees (still have to finish paying off the rentals), and 100% of donations (including raffle tickets) will go straight to MVP. And yes, we’re still gonna feed you afterwards.
More on this later… we’ve already requested that it doesn’t downpour on us this year.

The Story
Last year, an unprecedented monsoon unexpectedly tore through the land, causing severe flooding and landslides, forcing the opposing factors to make an unscheduled retreat; that impromptu cease-fire opened the way to an armistice, and peace talks.
For months, leaders of Cardistan and the WPO have met in Geneva to hash out their differences with diplomacy, not armed conflict. The indigenous Nomads have enjoyed a year of quiet peace in their ancestral lands.
But while Cardistan’s attention has been focused on the intense peace talks with the WPO, the neighboring country Andozia (pronounced an-doh-ZEE-ah) launched an unexpected and unprecedented invasion of Cardistan. Because Andozia is considered a “nuclear superpower”, the WPO is hesitant to get involved, stating they want to avoid starting WWIII. Cardistan threatens to leave the peace talks with the WPO unless the WPO nations agree to supply them with weapons and medical supplies, to which most of the WPO nations begrudgingly agree.
Now Cardistan is fighting on two fronts: an armed conflict to avoid annexation by Andozia, and delicate peace talks to avoid being forced into a “democracy” as dictated by the WPO. The Nomads are caught up in the middle of everything, and as always they just want to be left alone.

Final Schedule
As we’ve stated, you do not have to play the full 24 hours, but we will have carefully-controlled inset/exsert (that’s a word now) times because we really don’t want to lose people in our woods. The game is broken up into “Chapters” (each chapter will be composed of multiple phases) and delineated by an hour-long break between each chapter. Once a chapter stars, don’t expect any breaks until the scheduled break time.
Please plan accordingly. And yes, your field fee will allow you to play Chapter 1, then Chapter 4 (or any combinations thereof). Please note that if you leave the premises, your guns(s) will need to be re-chrono’d before you’re allowed back onto the field. We will provide power strips so you can keep batteries charged; please bring your own chargers.
WE HAVE PLENTY OF SPACE FOR YOU TO PITCH A TENT, as well as shower/toilet/sink facilities. We can’t promise power to each individual tent, but there should be plenty of outlets.
Insert/Exsert Times:
24SEP
- 1100 – 1700: Chapter 1
- 1700 – 1800: Insert/Exsert
- 1800 “Night mode” begins.

This year’s raffle prize is a KWA Ronin 47 from Tactical Parts! We’re throwing in a 3-pack of midcap mags, a Tactical Parts morale patch, and an Airtech Studios Battery Extension Unit so you can fit a bigger battery inside the Ronin 47 – a prize package worth over $460!
See what Femme Fatale Airsoft has to say about this beast.
Please note that we are unable to ship this prize package overseas. Last year’s winner was Cecilia Rogers, who lives in Portugal. Yes, the country. She asked that we give her Mod.1 prize to Bobbie “One-eye” Adams, who has yet to miss a game since she started coming to SAASMaine!
